Aluminum ADA Compliant Ramp Railing & Handrails
Offering many different styles of ramp rails meeting or exceeding all applicable specifications defined by the IBC (International
Building Code). Elegant ramp railings with hand rails
are ADA compliant, and are designed specifically to aid people
with disabilities. Our standard ramp railing comes in 36 inch or 42 inch heights. 36 inch high
ramp railings are advisable for applications situated 30 inches or less over
grade. And 42 inch high ramp rails are advisable for applications situated beyond 30 inches over grade.
42 inch tall ramp railings require an additional 36 inch tall
grab rail that is mounted to the ramp railing in order to satisfy
code requirements. Ramp railing can be plate mounted, core drilled
or face mounted depending on site conditions.
You should contact the local building authorities in your area prior to selecting a height and style, because; local guidelines may vary from the IBC specifications.
