ADA Compliant Ramp Railing with Hand Rails
Elegant Aluminum offers several different styles of ramp railing that meet or exceed all applicable requirements as defined in the IBC (International Building Code). Elegant ramp railings with hand rails are ADA compliant, and are designed specifically to aid people with disabilities. Ramp railing is available in either 36” or 42” heights. 36” height ramp railing is suitable for applications located 30” or less above grade while 42” height ramp railings are suitable for any are located more than 30” above grade. 42” tall ramp railings require an additional 36” tall grab rail that is mounted to the ramp railing in order to satisfy code requirements. Ramp railing can be plate mounted, core drilled or face mounted depending on site conditions. We recommend that you contact your local building authority before deciding which height railing will be suitable for your specific application due to the fact that individual building codes may vary from the IBC specifications.
