Elegant Aluminum offers several different styles of balcony railing that meet or exceed all applicable requirements as defined in the IBC (International Building Code). Balcony railings are available in either 36” or 42” heights. 36” height balcony rails are suitable for applications located 30” or less above grade while 42” height balcony rails are suitable for applications that are located more than 30” above grade.
Balcony railing can be plate mounted, core drilled or face mounted depending on site conditions. We recommend that you contact your local building authority before deciding which height railing will be suitable for your specific application due to the fact that individual building codes may vary from the IBC specifications.
Glass Balcony Railing
Elegant Aluminum Products also offers Glass Balcony Railing that was developed to provide the safety and security offered by traditional railing systems while providing an unobstructed view of your surroundings. Elegant Aluminum Products Glass Rail systems are available in standard 36” and 42” heights and can satisfy applicable IBC codes. 36” height Glass Balcony Rail is suitable for applications located 30” or less above grade while 42” height glass balcony rails are suitable for applications that are located more than 30” above grade.
