Glass Stair Railing
We offer glass stair railing systems with an advanced design to
provide the safety and security offered by classic railing systems while providing
unhindered views of your surroundings. Our standard glass stair rail
systems are available in 36 inch and 42 inch heights and can satisfy applicable
IBC codes. 36 inch high glass stair railing are advisable for applications
situated 30 inches above grade or less, and 42 inch high glass stair rails
are advisable for applications situated beyond 30 inches above grade.
Accomodating various stair configurations, we offer a variety of stair-rail and handrail designs.
The following are some common types stairways and stair-rail designs.
Box or Enclosed stair-ways is enclosed by walls on opposing sides and lacks any turns.
Usually an enclosed stairway only requires a handrail mounted on each wall or a single wall depending on codes in your area.
One-side-open stairways has a full body rail on one side and an optional hand-rail
on the opposing side. Open design stair railing has no wall
and no riser. It is entirely open except for the stair stringers on opposing sides and stair
rung.
Wrap around stairways may include a landing between
flights of stairs.
