Elegant Glass Rails meet LOAD and IBC codes and come in standard 36" and 42" heights. Elegant glass rail systems were created to meet the structural needs of architects and can be customized according to plans. Elegant welds and miters all seams to exact sizes thereby eliminating time-consuming guesswork at the jobsite. The finished glass railings are labeled and shipped assembled for ease of installation. Commercial grade, 2" or 3", mounting posts are set up for three basic installation procedures: Face Mount, Deck Mount, or Core Drill, depending on your application. Various types of hardware are available to make mounting the rails simple.

Elegant glass rails are custom built to jobsite specifications and comes in grades ranging from Residential to Commercial. Elegant Glass Products will build a safe, secure glass rail system whether the need is a high-rise balcony rail, deck rail, front porch rail, ramp rail, stair rail, or a retaining wall. Keep the following in mind when deciding which grade of glass rail to use. Premier, Architectural, and Commercial glass rail grades meet IBC LOAD Codes. Furthermore, the main differences between the glass rail styles are the shapes of the channels, including the top covers, and whether or not the posts are above or below the top channel.

Glass rails are usually 36" or 42" high and two channels or three channels. Elegant glass three channel glass railing systems, although called different names, have the same picket configuration which is one through picket in the middle of each panel. The reason Elegant designed the rail this way is for structural integrity. Another design feature to evaluate concerning rails is the post. The 2" posts in Residential and Premier Rail stick up above the top channel whereas the 2" posts do not protrude above the top channel in Architectural or Commercial Rail.

However, exceptions do exist. Three and four inch posts do come above the top channel in all rail styles and the rule does not apply when talking about stair rails.
